FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A4H Films & Distribution “19 Short Films” Competition
Audition For Hollywood, LLC (“A4H”) launches virtual multiplex theater, “A4H Films Presents” as outlet for short films and offers 19 short films slots in upcoming New York Independent Film & Video Festival.
Hollywood, CA – June 16, 2005: Audition For Hollywood (“A4H”) announces that its newly created on-line, virtual multiplex theater “A4H Films Presents”, which premieres August 2005, is seeking short films (5 minutes and shorter) of a variety of genres for immediate submission. Shorts submitted to A4H will be eligible for web cast through parent company Audition For Hollywood (“A4H”) www.auditionforhollywood.com and eligible for consideration for mobile phone and other worldwide distribution through arrangements the company will soon announce.
On a related basis, A4H has entered into an agreement with the popular New York Independent Film and Video Festival. http://www.nyfilmvideo.com. Under the agreement, A4H, has acquired 19 program slots in the upcoming September 22-29, 2005 Los Angeles festival. Nineteen (19 ) selected short films, from qualifying members, will receive a slot in the festival. All fees and a VIP festival pass for each film will also be awarded by A4H. Selected films will screen at the historical Laemmle Theatre near Fairfax on Beverly in the heart of one of LA’s most popular cultural areas.
“We believe that the Internet and mobile telephones are the distribution opportunities of the near future that will “level the playing field” for emerging talent. These two mediums are the only remaining viable alternative to the oligopoly of studios/ television networks/ cable networks/ theatre chain mega-conglomerates. Our goal is to provide emerging talent the opportunity to utilize these tools properly to their benefit” said A4H’s Chairman, Gregory Cascante. Stuart Alson, founding partner in NYIFVF added, “Our festival was delighted to recognize the offer from A4H to book screens for 19 short films. Our festival is based on a vision of how to provide valuable services to talent with a voice, and by opening up to the A4H 19, we are able to give our members a dual benefit. We showcase their abilities through the popular festival venue, while also offering the tangible and real opportunity to capitalize on emerging technologies and generate additional recognition, much as Clive Owen received through the BMW shorts.”
Candidates for the 19 sponsored slots in the festival include filmmakers whose films are already completed and may have participated in previous festivals since January 2005, as well as those whose work will be shown for the first time in September 2005. All genres of film qualify for consideration. For more information regarding eligibility, delivery formats, and submission deadlines, please visit www.auditionforhollywood.com.
A4H President, Susan Moses, summed up the shared benefits of the new alliance in her statement. “I am delighted with this important and complementary relationship between our two companies. By the time Yahoo, Google and MSN define their Internet strategy regarding original programming, and the mobile telephone outlets identify tomorrow’s programming categories, we intend to be original content providers with a track record. If we do this right, and we certainly intend to, we will have done a great service to the worldwide community of talented and creative people who deserve a chance to be discovered.”

Audition for Hollywood
Licenses NASA's Perilog Technology
Audition For Hollywood
and NASA Ames Research Center announced
today that they have entered into a license agreement for NASA's Perilog
Technology. Audition will use the technology in conjunction with
its own proprietary Application System. Perilog is a contextual
search tool that retrieves and organizes data from any sequence
of terms including musical notes, text, words and phrases and other unique
formats by developing a ranking, and presenting the search results to the
user.
Audition's Chairman, Gregory Cascante,
stated, "Perilog is exciting and important for the company's Internet based
service. We match the requirements of entertainment industry decision makers
with the skills of aspiring talent involved in all segments of entertainment
including actors, musicians, dancers, models, and writers. Perilog affords
us the opportunity to enhance our own proprietary Application System's
search engine by integrating both objective and subjective criteria. This
refined and expanded search and match capability will create a cutting
edge feature distinguishing Audition For Hollywood from the competition."
David Lackner, NASA Ames Research Center's
Commercialization of Technology Program
Officer, described the licensing agreement with Audition For Hollywood
as "an unexpected but exciting opportunity to broaden our charter of making
NASA's internally developed technology available to private sector companies.
Typically, we license our inventions to companies in the medical or manufacturing
fields. Our agreement with Audition For Hollywood is our first foray into
the entertainment industry, and we are delighted that Perilog adds value
to Audition For Hollywood's business strategy."

Gulshan Grover Ambassador
for Hollywood Web Site.
By Michel W. Potts - Bollywood’s permier
bad guy Gulshan Grover is doing a good turn for aspiring actors
by serving as an ambassador for the new Audition
for Hollywood Web site which provides actors the chance to display
their talents to entertainment industry decision makers. Founded and managed
by seasoned entertainment industry professionals, the www.auditionforhollywood.com
Web site is a 24-hour, seven days a week service in which industry executives
can search for new faces and scout new talent for their projects. For not
only actors, but dancers, models, singers and writers as well, the site
offers its subscribers the ability to create a personal profile, post multiple
headshots, provide a resume and personal biographical profile, and have
a three-minute reel of their particular talent available for viewing. "Our
goal is to offer a true value-added process by which we level the playing
field and make it possible for dreams to come true", Gregory
Cascante, the site’s chairman, declared during an April
28 press conference at Mirabelle’s restaurant here.
The added value, apart from a virtual
online audition, is the fact that subscribers will have access to industry
decision makers, will be able to review current information on real
jobs, and have the ability to email headshots as well as create
and send postcards. Grover, a 20-year Bollywood veteran who has done more
than 300 films, remembered his days as a struggling actor in Mumbai. "I
just didn’t wake up one morning and say I’m a good-looking
guy, because I’m not," he recounted during the press conference.
"Believe me, for years it was tough and difficult to actually reach
out to people who mattered and have them look at my work and say this is
the guy we want." When he was first told about the Web site, he was
impressed by its novel approach, because now an actor from India doesn’t
have to jump on a plane and come to Los Angeles for a 40-second meeting,
he said. If anyone in Hollywood is looking for a specialized actor or a
face, they might find that you match their requirements.
