A4H Films & Distribution, an online virtual multiplex theater which premieres Summer 2005, seeks completed short films (5 minutes or shorter) for September 2005 competition. Short films (5 minutes and under) from directors who have previously completed a short film and have been accepted into a festival in their careers are being accepted, as are films produced by first time filmmakers who have NOT previously submitted a short film to any festival within the US or Canada. Films from the following categories are being accepted: drama, comedy, animation, documentary, horror, thriller, action and experimental. Films in foreign language must be subtitled in English.
A4H Films & Distribution is offering several awards. Nineteen (19) Filmmakers will be chosen to compete in the September 22 –29, 2005, New York Independent Film & Video Festival in Los Angeles: http://www.nyfilmvideo.com All entry fees for the festival will be paid by A4H Films & Distribution for the 19 winners. Selected filmmakers will be responsible to meet all of the materials requirements for the festival. In addition, each of the 19 selected films will receive a full VIP Festival Pass (Total value of each prize is over $400.00). The 19 qualifying films will receive distribution on A4H Films & Distribution’s on line virtual multiplex. All films will also be eligible for distribution consideration through the A4H Films & Distribution network, including but not limited to cell phone, PDA and other mobile outlets.
All entries must have been completed after January 1, 2005. Acceptable filming formats include 35mm, 16mm, DVCam, and other Digital formats, provided that films can be submitted for consideration in DVD format and, if selected as one of the 19 winners, a Beta sp copy must be provided.
